Bloomsburg Defeats Philadelphia in Field Hockey

BLOOMSBURG -- Ashley Heckard (Millerstown/Greenwood) scored a career-high four goals with Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntington Valley/Lower Moreland) adding two to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 7-0 win over Philadelphia University Thursday./

Along with Heckard and Vanartsdalen, Liz Macready (Denver/Cocalico) scored the Huskies other goal for with Whitney Miller (Lancaster/Penn Manor) adding two assists for the Huskies. Vanartsdalen and Ashley Miller (Shermans Dale/West Perry) each added one assist in the win.

The Bloomsburg defense had a perfect game by not allowing any shots on goal.

The Huskies (5-1, 2-1 PSAC) return to action on Saturday at noon when they host East Stroudsburg at Sports Stadium.
